Food Revolution Alliance mobilizes over a million people to stand up for food that is healthy, ethical, and sustainable for everyone. Founded in honor of John Robbins, we turn passion into collective action through focused campaigns that change policy and save lives.
Why This Matters
Diet-related illness is now the leading cause of preventable death worldwide, claiming more than 11 million lives each year. The burden falls hardest on those who can least afford it — poorer communities, communities of color, and the people who grow our food. The policies and systems driving this suffering can be changed. But only if enough of us act together.
What We Do
Food Revolution Alliance runs focused campaigns to shift corporate and government policy. We work on the issues at the heart of food systems transformation, from toxic additives and pesticide safety to school meals, farmworker protections, and regenerative agriculture.
We partner with expert organizations that bring deep knowledge and established relationships in the field. Together, we mobilize the million-member Food Revolution Network and other communities that care deeply about healthy, ethical, sustainable food — to take meaningful collective action.
Our campaigns are chosen based on clear criteria: broad potential impact, the ability to uplift health outcomes in disadvantaged communities, winnability, and strong potential for community engagement.

Real Food, Not Chemical Food: Getting Toxic Additives Out and Organic Food In
Right now, dozens of food additives banned or labeled with warnings in the EU, Canada, Australia, and the UK are still freely used in the United States. Some major food companies are actively fighting state-level protections in court — even as they comply with stricter standards overseas. Meanwhile, many organic farmers still struggle to make ends meet.
When we surveyed members of the Food Revolution Network community, 91% said they either strongly support or are fired up to act on this issue. It’s time to get toxins out of our food supply - and healthy food in! We're now building partnerships with leading organizations to launch our first campaign.
